Description |
This is the lot on the west side of North Main Street. It is bordered by the Corey Creek underground viaduct to the north, formerly an open creek with a bridge over the creek. The earliest tannery was on this lot and later relocated. Abram Shuart's barn was onthis lot. Following the flood of 1972, the creek was contained underground for flood control. The earliest photo we have of this location is from 1910 when it was a wagon shop with Abram Shuart's barn adjacent. W. H. Kilgore built his car dealership there, followed by the Wells & Goodall garage and car dealership. It is presently Northern Tier Beverage. |
