[SRGP 93289] - Manderville R. Bartle of Mansfield, died Tuesday, April 3, 1956. Funeral Friday at Hatboro. He was a graduate of Mansfield State Teachers College class of 1930. Further information is not available at this time. - Mansfield Advertiser, 4 April 1956, p.1 BARTLE, Manderville Ransford [SRGP 93289] - Manderville Bartle, teacher of instrumental music at the Hatboro, PA school for the past 26 years died at his home in Hatboro, at the age of 56 years. He had been ill for several months and was unable to perform his teaching duties since February. He had been a teacher there since 1930 and a beloved citizen. He was a graduate of M.S.T.C. class of 1930. He consistently produced top-rated bands for Hatboro and was one of the few directors of music in the area who maintained both a band and orchestra. He was a member of the Baptist Church, on the advisory board of the Hatboro Boy's Chorus and belonged to the Masonic Lodge of Mansfield, Coudersport Consistory. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carmen Milliren Bartle; three sons, Charles Thomas, 21, in the US Navy, and twins, Bruce and Bart at home and one sister, Mrs. Doris Neary of New York City.
