photo on ww1 scrapbook Inducted on 26 Sept 1917 - Honorably Discharged 8 March 1918 Served overseas 13 July 1918 - 22 Feb 1919 BARTLETT, Victor Everitt [SRGP 54553] - Hornell - Victor E. Bartlett, 70, of 444 Canisteo St.., died Sunday in St. James Mercy Hospital following a long illness. Born in Mansfield, PA, he had resided here for the past 45 years. He had been employed for 43 years by the Erie Railroad, retiring in 1958 as an engineer. Mr. Bartlett was a veteran of World War I and life member of Evening Star Lodge 44, F&AM. He was a member of Hornell Moose Lodge, American Legion Post NO.440, and VFW Post No.2250. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edith C. Bartlett; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Kreiger of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Herbert Bartlett of Long Beach, Calif., and Paul Bartlett of Hammondsport; a step-daughter, Mrs. Franklin Evans of Culver City, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren. The body is at the Landon Funeral Home where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:15 p.m. tonight, followed by Moose services at 7:45 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
